The Top Water Bite began with this sketch. The basic idea was to design a wooden carved frog like nobody had ever seen by combining the realistic design of hollow bodied plastic frogs, with a wooden design. The main problem with most wooden designed frogs was also the most important one: they weren’t weedless. By subtracting the treble hooks which had become standard on almost all wooden carved frogs, and finding a way to mount the hooks on the top, TWB Frogs was born. What I hope to do is bring the quality and durability of wooden carved frogs into a market saturated by hollow bodied plastic ones.
